FAQ

  • What are the costs for sending SMS by your own devices?

For each SMS you will be charged with two units (the fee for using our platform) + the cost of sending an SMS for your GSM subscription (if you do not have a subscription with unlimited sms).

  • How does SMS sending via your own devices work?

Our platform connects to your phone / device and sends SMS through your subscription (you will be charged by the operator based on your contract). For subscriptions with unlimited SMS you will not have additional costs.

  • What is the SMS limit / subscription?

For unlimited SMS subscriptions, operators may still have a limitation, but this depends on your contract with the GSM operator. It is recommended to send a maximum of 6,000 messages / month / subscription, but not more than 1500 messages / day / subscription. To send a larger volume of messages, it is recommended to connect several devices / subscriptions.

  • How can I avoid reaching the maximum SMS sending limit?

In order to send more messages without exceeding the SMS / subscription limit, we recommend connecting several devices / subscriptions simultaneously to your account by installing the smsadvert application on several devices, so when sending a campaign, our platform will send the messages evenly distributing the transmission through the connected devices.

  • Can I send messages using a device with a prepay SIM?

We do not recommend using prepay cards because they usually have a low limit of SMS / month that you can send. Exceeding the limit can lead to a temporarily ban of your card. Our recommendation is to use a subscription with unlimited SMS messages.

  • Which mobile operators are recommended?

Operators differ from country to country, the best way to go is to test them by making a short-term subscription first.

  • Which phone model is recommended?

Any Android phone. The minimum version of Android supported is: 6.0

  • Can I send SMS messages if the phone is not connected to the internet?

No. The application needs an internet connection to send SMS.

  • I need to have the application open on my phone to send SMS?

Yes. To avoid closing the application unexpectedly, please adjust the phone settings according to your make / model as found on: dontkillmyapp.com. If this problem persists, keep the application open in the foreground and connect the phone to the charger.

  • How can I send SMS from multiple phones at the same time?

Install the mobile application on multiple phones and log into your account on each of them. At section "Devices" you will see all the phones connected to your account.

  • What is the speed of sending SMS?

This depends on the number of connected phones and the length of the message. Messages consisting of a single SMS with a single connected phone are sent within 3 seconds. If you connect 3 phones, the sending speed will be about one SMS / second. You can also send SMS via smsadvert.io network with a speed of up to 5 SMS / sec.

  • Can I use the web application to send SMS messages?

You can use both the web application and the mobile application to send SMS or to make any changes to your account, they are fully synchronized.

  • How can I import contacts into my app?

In each group, you have the option "Import contacts", so you will be able to upload a file regardless of format (.xls, .csv, .txt, ...), and the application will extract the phone numbers (without duplicates) from that file and add them to your group.

  • If I delete my mobile application, do I lose my data?

No. All data related to your account (campaigns, statistics, sent messages, groups, contacts, invoices) are saved on our servers, so you will have access to your data at any time, both through the web application and the mobile application.

  • What happens if a device disconnects during sending?

If a device disconnects, campaign or API messages will be sent through the other available devices, and if no device is available, they remain in the message queue until a device reconnects.
